For Apostle Paul to write to the Hebrew Church in the manner in which we did, they must have been a Church who had enjoyed so much of God’s grace and the Holy Spirit. He couldn’t write to the Corinthian Church the same way because they were still babes.
The end point of denying oneself, taking up ones cross is that we might be able to follow God. One of the prophecies about Jesus is that He came to save His people from their sins.
We are not saved because we opened our mouth and repeated some words after some preacher, if there is no shift of heart, nothing actually happened. It is not about being a pastor’s child or saying the sinner’s prayer. Some people would come in, but not through the door.
The darkness that is more difficult to deal with is the darkness that men think is Light. If you have not come to the point where you recognized that someone exchanged your place, there is no salvation. Any repentance that does not come from godly sorrow is not for real.

One thing we can learn from the Devil is that he is persistence and never gives up.
On a daily basis, there is always a tension. A consciousness on our inside that wants to do the will of God, but the default state of it is to be pleased.
1 Timothy 5:6
“But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth”
We can not be like the Moslems who do ablutions and cleanse themselves every time before coming to God.

All we do is tap strength from God to be unspotted from the world. At times, Satan needs our permission to do a whole lot of things through us. If we give in, he operates.
