Message 4
Pastor Seyi Osanyinbi
Prophecy is of no use if what to do with it or how to implement it is not known. Man’s inner self can either sustain or destroy him.
Genesis 1:1-14
God does not measure time or day the same way humans do. The firmament is where seasons are controlled, yet man’s life is not controlled by them. As believers, we must recognize that every region and position is under the influence of specific princes and we must first bind them in order to bring about the fulfillment of prophecies.
The Church is in a critical season and it is up to us as believers to rise up, confront and defeat the devil’s schemes. As a Church, we need light and it is important that we change our prayer patterns because most of our usual prayer points are self-centered and too weak to defeat the enemy. As believers, our destination and eternal purpose is to be like Christ.
Man was created to work and any man who does meaningless work will be depressed. The capacity to subdue the earth is tied to the works of our hands but many believers are unaware of that. As a Church, we cannot expect God to act as He did in the past because His ways are unpredictable.
Usually, we do not pay attention to the things that are written about us. Furthermore, many of us get distracted by God’s blessings when they begin to come. If Joseph had not been discerning, he would have been distracted while in Potiphar’s house because of his position.
It is important for us to be cautious so that we can avoid offenses. Our response to offense will determine if we will be approved for our seasons. Spiritual warfare is not just prayer against family strongholds; it also involves how we respond to offenses and challenges. We must always ask God for help in order to build capacity to respond rightly in the face of offenses.
Psalm 2:1
The world we are dealing with are people who hate our Master and we have to be cautious in relating with them. Christ is the Head while the Church is the Body; it is important that we as a Church contribute our quota in defeating the Enemy.
The world will constantly provoke the Church, so we need to be prepared to fight valiantly and prevail. When a generation God chose to fulfill a prophecy fails, He will discard them and raise another generation who will carry out His promises. God’s promises are always sure to come to pass.
