The Harvest (Day 2: Evening Session I)

REV. KEN IGBINEDION

 MATTHEW 9:38:“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”;

MATTHEW 11:28:“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”;

GENESIS 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”;

JOHN 6:26:“Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.”;

PSALM 82:5: “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.”;

ROMANS 5:6: “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”;

MARK 4:26-29: ” And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.“;

You don’t talk about harvest when you don’t have a farm. Forget about harvest when you have not sown seeds. The man who has not sown anything should not expect a harvest.

The seed of corruption that was sown in Adam led to the harvest of transgenerational death. You cannot learn of God until He has placed His yoke upon you. He cannot place his yoke upon you when you don’t come to Him. All of mankind is under some kind of labour. God wants us to have dominion and we must know that dominion is not a labour of the flesh. You cannot enter some places unless some kind of yoke is placed on you. Yokes conform us to their design. God wants people that have been heavily weighed down to come unto Him. You can only appreciate Jesus’ yoke when you had been heavy laden. The yoke determines how you learn. We can only learn if we endure the yoke. Your learning determines your earning.

There is a hope of his calling. There is also a hope of our coming. Abraham needed a son but God needed to be born. God saw the possibilities of their hopes intersecting so He called Abraham. Until your hope dies you won’t see God’s hope. Abraham had to bury his hope by giving up Isaac. It was at that point that God affirmed that he had passed His test. We need to learn of God. To learn of God requires going through all kinds of processes, both pleasant and unpleasant.

For everything we know, there is a harvest. When we fully learn of God, that knowledge of Him will bring bountiful harvests. Our problem with harvest is the kind of knowledge available to us.

Only those who are not ready to switch from the hope of their coming to the hope of God’s calling will never enter the harvest. We must be possessors of the right seeds so that we can reap the right harvests. The present time can prevent us from seeing the age to come. Everything is not in the hands of God, He needs us as partners. God provides the ground but we have to sow the seed. Whatever seed we sow will grow, good or bad. God wants to uproot every wrong seed we have sown in the past so that He can give us the right seeds to sow in order to shape our future. He wants to avert every disastrous harvest.

The realms of Spirit, Soul and Body operate by different kinds of seeds. The Bible is a custodian of manifold seeds. Every kind of seed is a life. The kind of seed you sow determines the kind of harvest you should expect. E.V.I.L. is the reverse of L.I.V.E. Every foundation of the earth is evil. We need the life of God to shut down evil. Kingdom is not a place, it is an influence. The king is the one who determines what happens in his kingdom. God is planting the right seeds in us and we must allow them germinate so we can reap desirable harvests.
