The priesthood reveals the person of Christ, His functionality inclusive. There is a fundamental difference between the priesthood of the Old Testament and that of the New Testament. Priesthood is not just about prayer. One of the greatest works of a New Testament priest is to preach the Gospel. We are aware that the eternal intent of God was for all the children of Israel to be a nation of Priests unto Him.
As believers that we should be able to come boldly to meet God, but what hinders this is the new setting of the Church. The problem is that no one wants to take it upon himself to seek God. We have developed a Church system made of spectators and a showmanship. This started with Moses and the Israelites. They told Moses to meet with God on their behalf.
However, we have all been called into ministry and the basic and very important part of that ministry is to seek God. If we are not doing this, our organizational system is wrong.
One of the greatest problems of the Church today is idolatry, which manifests itself in our placing less important things before God. We need to understand that we cannot continue to follow vainly designed programs. The aim of most of the meetings being organized is to get our needs met but we must come into the understanding that God has not raised us for ourselves, but for Him. We must guard our hearts.

God is not interested only in the inside, He is also interested in the outside. God looks at us and calls us holy not because that is what we are but because He is the God Who calls the things that be not as though they are. This gives us the opportunity to grow and walk into Holiness, so we will eventually become who God has declared us to be.
Jesus is both the Apostle and High Priest of the Faith. He laid down the foundation for the Faith, and anything contradictory to what He laid down is false and should not be followed.
Our High Priest wants to bring us into Glory; believers cannot and should not be discouraged because bringing us into his Glory is one of the functions of the High Priest.

A major challenge in consoling or helping people is that we have not yet experienced what they have experienced. We therefore cannot identify with what they feel. Christ suffered what man is still suffering.
