The centre of the Scripture is Christ. Everything that God ever did and will ever do has been revealed in Christ. Christ is the summary of what God said, is saying or will say.
Psalm 97:1-12; 30:12; 57:8; 108:1
Christ is the only example that we have of someone who has entered into the full manifestation of the glory of God’s kingdom.
Hebrews 1:3-12
Christ is the only reflection of what God wants us to be on earth, He entered into the glory that excelled; anything short of that is an aberration. Just as the glory is at work in Jesus, it is also at work in us as God is working on our inside. We have seen this glory come out from the inside to the outside when people face difficult situations. One of such men is Stephen (Acts 10-14). In the same way, when we come under certain pressures, the glory is manifested in us.
We do not look like who we are and it is high time we started understanding our reality in Christ. Stop paying attention to the things on the outside, pay attention to things on your inside. This glory is supposed to find expression in our daily lives.
2 Corinthians 4:6-8
Suffering is part of what brings the manifestation of God’s glory. You are a bastard if you cannot suffer for the sake of the kingdom. This is because the one who went before us didn’t get glory on a silver platter.
Romans 5,6,7; 3:23
There are factors that debar the manifestation of the glory. One of them is sin but it has been taken care of at the cross. However, it is not enough that it is taken care of, there is a need for a conscious effort on our part not to go back to it.
Anywhere you find sin, you will not find glory. Man fell short of the glory of God because he sinned. To fully manifest the glory, you must deal with sin by subjecting your mortal body to God’s righteousness purchased by Christ. This subjection is what many tag as suffering but even Jesus suffered before He enjoyed the glory (Hebrews 2:9-10).
