Promises Based on Legalities

The scripture in reference was read to show us that any act of disobedience to God’s commands opens the door for Satan to impose on people the punishment as spelled out in the scriptures. Sometimes it’s not because God is interested in punishing people but it is because it has been written down in the spirit, it has to come to accomplishment whenever we misbehave.

For instance, you cannot pray for a man walking in disobedience to be the head and not tail. These things are only be implementable when we obey God’s commandments. You can only pray the prayers in the Bible provided the conditions attached to them are met. The problem a lot of believers have is that we don’t consistently pray according to the Scriptures.

The reason why the house of Saul continued to wax weaker was because he did not follow God’s way. He was a (perpetual) rebel. God gave instructions to him on many occasions and he did not obey them. Immediately God withdrew His Holy Spirit from Saul, an evil spirit took over his life. That spirit imposed on him all the punishments imaginable as outlined in Deut. 28. You have to pay attention to whatever you do.

It is God’s desire to establish our homes. When you are with God, you are with the majority even though it might not seem that way to men. It was David’s prayer that God should establish his home. And as long as he kept God’s commandments and walked in them, his home was safe from satanic attacks.

Davis steeped out of order when he took Uriah’s wife and had him killed. God viewed that acts of David as he despising His commandments (2Sam.12:9).

In despising God’s commandments, you despise God. Disobedience is despising God. When Grace does not appear to you, then there is a problem between you and God. The consequences of despising God’s Word are enormous. When we step out of order, we open the door for the enemy to enter into our lives and mess us up.

If there’s no reason for a curse, no one can curse you (Prov.26:2). The book of Proverbs tells us that it will not stand. In our walk with God we should not step out of order and when the Holy Spirit points to us our mistakes, we should repent immediately.

Faith is based on legality. You cannot claim or confess promises in the Bible when you continue to persist in wrong doing. We should pay attention to the mistakes of King David and other men in the Bible (Rom.15:4). God knows when you have received a word, and that’s when we will be liable (held accountable). This is why we should always ask for mercy. Some people have uttered words they should not have uttered because of pressure but it stills open doors to demon spirits that will affect their lives years after. The ground for canceling curses are repentance, obedience and walking in faith.
