PRIESTHOOD: Sustainability of a priest II

PASTOR (MRS) BOLA OSANYINBI

Priesthood speaks about righteousness, love of God, the power of God, obedience and divine order. God is not an author of confusion. He is not a God to put a pause to his works or retire from his works. We have all being called into leadership. We are kings because there is a kingdom the Lord wants us to rule over.

We should give more attention to the kingdom of God rather than the kingdom of Satan. The kingdom of Christ is what should reign in our hearts. We were people with different thoughts and imaginations and wicked thoughts until Christ came to redeem us.

The lord desires that we come boldly to him. Our coming unto the lord is to obtain mercy, it is the mercy of the lord that will make us sustainable. We are a nation under the authority of Christ and we cannot afford to misbehave.

The church is the nation of Christ. For us to be sustainable in this generation, we cannot do without prayers. Jesus Christ is the custodian of our faith, without the faith, we would be helpless.

In walking with God, fellowshipping with God and being in leadership roles, there are somethings that we have to put in place. Many times, believers want to err, we seem scared of the order that is being set before us. Moving away from that order means we are forfeiting our Priesthood.

We as Priests are to bring order wherever we find ourselves. The Children of God have work to do and they are specific. God is interested in order, working outside the order is disobedience, when you disobey God, you will not come into finishing. In priesthood, there must be order, by following order you will be fulfilled.

Nature of leaders the lord has given unto us

A Priesthood must be blameless; God will not accept impurities. Everything about a priest must be holy and pure. Not only on the outside but even in our hearts. A Priesthood must be hospitable. A priesthood is a sober person, someone who is conscious of God’s gifting.

Being unruly is not pleasing unto the Lord. The nature of a leader also entails that you can be controlled.

A Priestly nature entails being brave, and sober. As a Priest of God, work on your conscience. We must come to the level of yielding yourself unto the Lord. Order must come into the house of the Lord.

Being chaste is being beautiful, your heart is ready to fellowship and follow the Lord. As Priest we need to have the mind of the lord. As a Priest of the Lord, we cannot behave like the Priests of the old testament, we cannot afford to misbehave.

We need to be observant. The church is meant to change people, turning the hearts of men unto the lord.

[biblegateway passage=”1 SAMUEL 3:3″ display=”1 SAMUEL 3:3″]

The Children of Eli were disqualified from being Priests because they were not chaste, they were unruly. All of us can come into the Priesthood purpose as long as we are qualified. If we are going to be standing Priest, we must be disciplined and be able to give sacrifice.

Every word of God that does not come with sacrifice of Prayer cannot deepen you. A Priest must have sight and mouth to taste milk and honey.
