PASTOR OMODELE OLUBI
The fact that a dog has an injured leg doesn’t make it less a dog. This implies that the fact that a child of God is falling into sin doesen’t make such less a child of God.

For Apostle Paul to write to the Hebrew Church in the manner in which we did, they must have been a Church who had enjoyed so much of God’s grace and the Holy Spirit. He couldn’t write to the Corinthian Church the same way because they were still babes.
The end point of denying oneself, taking up ones cross is that we might be able to follow God. One of the prophecies about Jesus is that He came to save His people from their sins.
We are not saved because we opened our mouth and repeated some words after some preacher, if there is no shift of heart, nothing actually happened. It is not about being a pastor’s child or saying the sinner’s prayer. Some people would come in, but not through the door.
The darkness that is more difficult to deal with is the darkness that men think is Light. If you have not come to the point where you recognized that someone exchanged your place, there is no salvation. Any repentance that does not come from godly sorrow is not for real.
The cleansing of our hearts from sins must constantly be in our memory, we must live in the consciousness of that fact. Some things can make one forget that they were once cleansed, in order words our cleansing must be before our face at all times. If we forget this, we would be walking back into darkness

There are no new creation realities without new creation responsibilities. The purpose of the crucifixion of the old man is that we might no longer serve sin. You cannot follow Jesus without responsibilities.
One thing we can learn from the Devil is that he is persistence and never gives up.
On a daily basis, there is always a tension. A consciousness on our inside that wants to do the will of God, but the default state of it is to be pleased.
1 Timothy 5:6
“But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth”
The responsibilities of the new creation realities are that we first reckon that we are dead. This is something that cannot be done for us. Also, we should not let sin reign in our mortal body, that we should obey it in the lusts thereof.
It is our responsibility to reckon ourselves dead to the flesh and to not allow sin reign in our mortal body. Talking about speaking in tongues, every believer already has the capacity, all we need is the initial evidence and then we continue in it.
We are constantly in battle, there is always tension between our regenerated spirit and the soul that is still in the process of salvation. The default position of the flesh is pleasure. We have to come to terms with the fact that we have to starve the operations of the flesh.
Our belief system is what will determine if we will continue in our sins of not. The grace of God is available to us so that sin does not keep us under. Our sins have been dealt with and we have to come to terms with that. We must drop sin consciousness knowing that the one in us has put paid to sin. When we get caught in sin, we need to ask for forgiveness and repent but we must know that sin consciousness will only serve to weigh us down.
We can not be like the Moslems who do ablutions and cleanse themselves every time before coming to God.

Ones conscience at times might be environmentally tuned. Anything that does not come from the stand point of the word of God should never rule our conscience. So, God is working on our conscience that has been marred because of the environment, church and culture. Anything that does not come from the stand point of God, should not rule out conscience. Our consciences are still being purged and we must always subject ourselves to the blood. We must not allow the Devil way is down with guilt and doubt as we continually make ourselves unspotted from the world. We are responsible to not expose ourselves to worldly influences. We owe ourselves the responsibility of coming to terms with the finished work of Christ.

All we do is tap strength from God to be unspotted from the world. At times, Satan needs our permission to do a whole lot of things through us. If we give in, he operates.
