MIRACLES

PASTOR OLUSOLA OGIDAN

It is impossible for anybody to survive in the wilderness without miracles. How do you eat and cloth yourself in the wilderness?

[biblegateway passage=”PSALM 82:1-7″ display=”PSALM 82:1-7″]

The average human wants to have a sense of attachment to a god because men in themselves have limitations. There is a point men get to and they realize they cannot go far. Gods are known for the supernatural and this is why men want to attach themselves to gods. Christians have the only true and living God. And our supernatural strength comes from Yahweh.

Everything that is happening on earth now is not working according to order. Inventions will soon reach their limit; such that mankind will come to realize that the solutions to the world’s problems do not come from them. Our lives are supposed to have a touch of the supernatural. Christianity is founded on the divine power that raised Christ from the dead.

A miracle is God acting in a way that is beyond human understanding and ability. It is an event that seems impossible to explain by natural thinking. Everything in natural life, has a role to fulfil God’s counsel for you. God made man a living soul before He made him a quickening spirit.

Act 2:22, John 2:11; 3:1-2, Hebrews 2:3-4, Mathew 15:21-28, 1 Corinthians 12:9-10

When we throw away miracles, we throw away God’s witness. Miracles help to strengthen our faith. You must know that God can act supernaturally in your life as a believer. Jesus did miracles to as a sign of God’s approval. Times will come when you will have to believe God for certain things. It is those past events in your life where you saw God come through that will help you hold on to your faith. Testimonies are meant for children of God first, not for outsiders. Every one that is born into the family of Christ is entitled to miracles. It is an erroneous belief that miracles are meant for outsiders alone (so that they might draw them) and not for those within the body of Christ.

John 2:1-11, 2Chronicles 20:1-5

The miracle Jesus did at Cana in Galilee was the first of the signs that Jesus did. Mary heard words that were spoken to her concerning Jesus, and she had nurtured them in her heart. It was because of this she laid a demand on the authority of the Grace of God in His life. We must begin to learn how to seek God. God still answers prayers. We must learn how to pray.

Seeking God is staying in prayer and getting a response from God. Every time you pray, there is always a prophetic interjection. We must believe God and obey. Let us learn to pray and wait on God. A generation that does not know how to seek the Lord will just excuse things that don’t happen because they don’t know how to make it happen. When we are in need of God’s help, he is always willing to help us. The horse is prepared against the day of battle but victory is in the hand of the Lord. However, it will also be unfortunate for the people if they do not ‘prepare the horse’.
