Message 2- YOUTH CONVENTION Day 2 Morning

Pastor Ayo Jeje

David prophetically described Zion as the place of God’s affection. The nation of Israel was established by God to describe His eternal purposes and plans to all other nations, which is establishing His Kingdom. The nature of the physical Zion was such as to dominate the other nations. Their promised land was not even a virgin land, they had to uproot some other nations from their lands. They practically exhumed dominion in all ways.

However, all that the physical Zion understood as a coming saviour was about the use of military processes or troops to exercise dominion. So, it was very easy for Jesus to be doubted as the messiah because he was not about building military powers to bring dominion. Sometimes, we ourselves feel that so much of our conquest is going to be external, not knowing that the major work is building a new nature within, to the end of expressing that life.

Again, some of us think that our spirituality is about being mystical and being spectacular but, that does not automatically confer spirituality. There is a dimension of the prophetic which is to just have put on the mind of Christ and know what to do per time. Prophetic is to bring heaven’s perspective to the earth’s realm and man is the only being capable of bringing the Spiritual realm to the Physical.

The strongest military power is usually the insignificant ones and we are not to overlook the battles with them. For example, David fought the insignificant (lame and blind) as though he were fighting Goliath. The things we can condone or overlook, if we allow them to stay they can destroy man.

We don’t usually easily get to know when we have become blind and also when we have become lame, immobile, lethargic, complacent and cannot advance in the things of God. There are some things that we are so familiar with and can accommodate, but they’re enemies.

The Hebrew meaning of Zion is fortification and the peak of Israel’s strength. In the Spirit, maturity is synonymous to dependence on God. Whenever God shows us our weakness, it means we should draw strength from Him. Jesus knew that he could not do anything of His own and this was what drew Him in intimacy with the Father.

Saviours shall judge the mountains of Esau. The word “judge” used here is not just to punish, a part of it is also rulership. And it would start from men having the government of God over their own lives first, in them releasing their lives ultimately to God. God is very interested in a single soul fully recovered and given over back to God.

God sometimes describes Spiritual experiences as mountains. There are existing hills in the world, e.g. science, cultures, systems, medicine, religion, national establishment etc. Mountains are also synonymous to dependable height for deliverance and there are mountains (anti-god systems) that man look up to for deliverance. Some of these have already captured our sight and might. Indeed, there are heights and some of them are contesting heights.

The ultimate height at the end of the day would be Zion. When the word of God arrives at our subconscious mind, it becomes settled.

The practice of intimacy with God will help us turn out saviours and it would foster the Kingdom on the earth. Deliverers are people that are delivered, they must have experiences that are valid. Their hearts and walk with the Lord must have been settled.

The first pathway of the government of God in one’s life comes from intimacy, readiness to obey, yieldedness and a desire and hunger for the house of the Lord. These birth experiences that are personal and culminates into a stature that is weighty.

Saviours are people whose testimonies would be valid for another generation. Another generation can look at the testimonies and be encouraged to walk with the Lord.
