The Easter period is an opportunity for people to know that death has been defeated. Jesus has actually done everything that needs to be done, but the problem is that many people are still living carelessly, with the death and the resurrection of Jesus having no effect in their lives. The greatest regret of those who have crossed into eternity was that they did nothing about the death and resurrection of Jesus while they were on earth. These are people who lived their lives like they didn’t care, without fear or reverence.

There are things God has done and will do, but there are things you alone have the responsibility to do. There will always be the wise and the foolish Christians. The people who are wise are those who have made themselves ready for the coming of the Lord. Nobody can help us get ourselves ready; we must by ourselves put in the efforts required to get prepared. We must put in these efforts in our walk with God.

What are we doing with the invitation that has been extended to us? What are we doing about the call of Jesus? If Jesus is expecting or looking eagerly towards having the last supper with us, then it’s of necessity that we make ourselves ready.

We were saved to produce good works, but how can we produce good works if we do not have faith in us? There is always exchange for something: if we are going to be rich in our knowledge of God and walk excellently with Him, we have to exchange our time learning Him. We must learn to spend time to learn God.
