The laws in the Bible are supposed to be the governing metrics that determines how we run our businesses and how we handle day to day interactions. You cannot just choose to dismiss the Old Testament laws because “we are no longer under the law, but under grace”.

Christians must be careful how they live their lives. Complacency, sloppiness, cutting corners and cheating are attitudes of unserious individuals, and we cannot join the world to do all of these.

The Bible repeatedly instructs us not to defraud or exploit others. We cannot build our life or business on unrighteousness. It will crumble at the end.

There are things people do that invoke the judgment of God. Many people leave school and find that they aren’t making progress. They might want to blame the system for the hardships they are facing, but their attitudes. People commit certain sins and generations following after begin to pay for their misdeeds.

The scripture also instructs us on what our disposition should be to people that are working for us, that when we become an employer of labour, we should not shut our ears to those working under us. We should ensure to pay them according to agreement and the worth of their service.

Many people do the work they are asked to do in Church “because the Pastor said so”. But our text tells us that whatever work you do, you should do it as unto God, and remember also that your reward comes from Him. God will judge all men alike, regarding how we live our lives, how we run our businesses, and what we do in Church.
